Sign-in issues are usually caused by using the wrong portal, forgotten credentials, or a locked account, all of which can be resolved quickly. Review the common issues below to get back into your UHC member account.

Common Sign-In Issues

Use the Forgot Username or Forgot Password link on the sign-in page to recover your credentials. HealthSafe ID will send a reset link or username reminder to your email address on file. For a full walkthrough, see the Reset Password guide.
Accounts are automatically locked after several consecutive failed sign-in attempts as a security measure. Wait 15–30 minutes and then try signing in again. Alternatively, use the password reset flow to immediately unlock your account and set a new password.
UHC operates several member portals depending on your plan type (for example, individual, employer-sponsored, Medicare, or Medicaid). Make sure you are using the portal that corresponds to your specific plan. Visit the Login page for direct access to the main member portal.
Try clearing your browser’s cookies and cache, then reload the page and sign in again. If the error persists, switch to a different browser. Disable any browser extensions — particularly ad blockers, VPNs, or privacy extensions — that may be blocking portal functionality.
Check your spam or junk folder, as verification emails are sometimes filtered. To prevent this in the future, add notifications@healthsafe-id.com to your safe senders list or email contacts. If the email still does not arrive, request a new verification email from the sign-in page.
Confirm that the phone number or email address associated with your HealthSafe ID account is current. If you have changed your phone number or email, your two-factor codes may be going to an outdated contact. Update your contact info in your member portal profile before trying again.

Browser Compatibility

The UHC member portal is tested and supported on the following browsers. Using an unsupported or outdated browser may cause sign-in errors or display issues.
  • Google Chrome — latest version
  • Mozilla Firefox — latest version
  • Microsoft Edge — latest version
  • Safari — latest version on macOS and iOS
Always keep your browser updated to ensure the best experience and security when accessing your member portal.
